What makes Posterous simple and flexible for me is because of its basic and useful features that are helpful for bloggers and the like. Its support for casual blogging, cross posting, and retweeting made it indeed simple to post everything.

The Flores minus 1 :D
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” and yes, this is Christmas! :) *yey!* It was fun being with the whole family back together again. Just so sad without my other brother around because of being out of the country. *sad* (wala ko gift from him.. waaah!) But, I just hope he’s doing fine out in the freezing snow. :) It’s not that bad though. There had been lots of gifts (friends, family, anyone? :) ), lots of laughs, lots of smiles (from my family, myself, and someone special. ayee!), and lots and lots of food (from everywhere). *yey*
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Cakes!

December 4 was my birthday and I was 21. Now, I’m 22 and I’m getting old, reeeaaally fast.. hehe. But of course, I could still never forget the blessings I’ve had in my life. This might be another “alone” birthday, being away from home. But good thing still have friends around. :)
Thanks for all the greetings and thanks for all the gifts. :D
I admire this poem:
Sonnet 17
by Pablo Neruda
I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
in which there is no I or you
so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand
so intimate that when you fall asleep it is my eyes that close
Labor Day.. Not much of an ordinary day.. Huh? Well I just consider these reasons why I just love May 1 so much.. :)
Stop asking why, I just love it..
I have made some minor changes in my personal web blog. I’m sorry if most of the searches that result in Google, or Yahoo! or whatever search engine you use to search the contents of my blog would result to an Error 404 (Page not found). For some reason I have switched to WordPress instead of Blogspot. Of course, I can’t leave my readers behind. However, you can still access the same contents of my blog through my personal domain (jreflores.net) or my Wordpress blog address (jreflores.wordpress.com).
I switched to WordPress not because I transitionally disliked Blogspot. Blogspot offers complex features that I could not find in other blog hosting service providers. I am switching because of my preparation in openning my personal portfolio website soon.
I may have switched but, I have not stopped in writting my deep opinions on topics and ideas. Tutorials, opinions and different articles are still being published under my authorship. Happy blog reading.
Before this great/horrible year (pick whatever adjective suits occurrences this year) ends. I finally had the time to grab my keyboard and write my last blog of the year. A lot of things has happened to me for this year 2008. For a year, I have counted a lot of significant achievements and happenings. Of course, that includes my failure in fulfilling my New Year’s resolution; “I will minimize drinking alcohol!” Funny it may see, but I declared this very ridiculous promise to myself. So for me, that’s already failure #1, and counting. *laughs*.
Anyway, for everything that has happened in this closing year, they were all worth it. May it be agonizing or self-fulfilling, everyone has done a great deal in making this year meaningful. We are part of every event that has took place to be the next chapter of history.
As the old new year cliche goes, “Let’s leave the past behind and lets start a new beginning as another new year starts.” Happy New Year everyone! Cheers!

It has been a while since I’ve been through web development. After roughly seven months, I’m back. I’m currently into developing my very own website. I’ve just started and I’m using one of the widely used Open Source Content Management System nowadays; Drupal. Soon, you will be able to browse it through www.jreflores.net. Happy browsing.
Here’s my latest obsession. Probably you might be thinking what it is. In my college years, I’ve been solving the 3×3 Rubik’s Cube over and over again. I could still remember whenever I see my classmate’s unsolved cube, I would immediately grab it and solve it right away. Kinda OC, you might think it is. Until now, I kind of get bored so I bought a new cube. They call it the “Rubik’s Revenge” cube. This 4×4 is a bit more complicated than the usually 3×3, but at least it adds up to the challenge. For me, it adds up a new decoration to my desk at the office and to my hobbies too. *hehehe* :)
Greetings fellow bloggers and for everyone out there who had some great time reading this blog account. It has been quite some time since the last time that I have written an entry on this blog (dated June 23, not so soon, still). For these past few months, since the time I’ve moved to Cebu, work has consumed some of my time. Studying Nihongo, preparing for the PhilNITS exam, and so on and so forth. Now, there are a lot of things that I want to do. Now that I have more free time, I wish I could continue with my contribution to my fellow IT enthusiasts and professionals. Soon, there will be more reviews, tutorials, and write-ups that I shall be posting. Hope you had more time reading my blog entries as to what ever interests you.
I was reading a blog entry of a friend of mine and this really amused me so much. You can read her whole story through this link.
BTW, it’s by April Kwong. :)
