    I have discovered from various websites that it is really possible to speed. Since Firefox is an open source web browser, you can basically do whatever you want, and even create your own plug-ins. Secrets of how Firefox works are viewable by opening your installed Firefox and type “about:config” (without the quotes) onto your address bar. Afterwhich, you will see numerous items of Firefox settings.

    Our tweek to speed-up Firefox will be by modifying current settings and adding a couple of settings. You will need to filter and modify the following settings:

    network.http.pipelining
    Set to true

    network.http.proxy.pipelining
    Set to true

    network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
    Set to 35

    network.http.max-connections
    Set to 32

    network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server
    Set to 8

    network.prefetch-next
    Set to false

    Also add the following items by right-clicking anywhere and New…

    Integer value
    nglayout.initialpaint.delay
    with value 0

    Boolean value
    browser.turbo.enabled
    with value true

    After performing all setting changes, restart your Firefox application or restart your PC System. This step is not necessarily required but I do recommend this.

    If ever you wish to decide and return back the original and default settings, simple select the setting, right-click and click on “Reset”.
