Cebu Sinulog 2010
Whew! It had been a few days already since the Sinulog celebration. Anyway, I have finally set my gallery of the selected shots I’ve took during the Grand Parade. It was not really a good day to take pictures because of the rain. You can view more pictures in this and this link.

The package has arrived! :)
Finally, after many weeks of waiting, my Windows 7 upgrade order finally arrived! *yey!* But still, I was dissapointed of how the shipping process turned out. It took almost a month instead of the promised 9-12 days. whew! There were a lot of inactivity going on until I thought of receiving my order was already impossible. The whole delivery process really had a lot of customers getting frustrated with how their processing turned out. I hope Mentor Media would be able to resolve those issues with some other customers who have not yet received their orders. :)
Now that I finally have a genuine Windows 7 installed into my system, it’s working above satisfactory so far. It is less resource hungry than that of my previous system. There were a lot of improvements especially in running Lenovo applications and drivers. Sound and video also improved. My Windows 7 experience is so far, so good. I just hope I don’t run into problems in the future.

My DSLR! :D
Finally! I have my own DSLR after years of waiting and saving. I opted to have a Nikon D90 above anything else. Sadly, resources wasn’t enough so I decided to have a Canon EOS 500D instead. Still not bad though. After reading a some few reviews, the 500D still turned out to be a good and a competitive DSLR. Here are some of its basic features:
- Sensor – 15.1 million effective pixels (15.1 MP)
- Display – 3.0″ TFT LCD with 920.000 dots
- Image processor – DIGIC 4
- AF Points – 9 AF Points
- Continuous shooting – 3.4 photos/sec
- Video capability – Full HD Video

I’m not saying that my cam is the best, but of course, I’m just proud to share one of my own. :)

So this is Christmas…

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” and yes, this is Christmas! :) *yey!* It was fun being with the whole family back together again. Just so sad without my other brother around because of being out of the country. *sad* (wala ko gift from him.. waaah!) But, I just hope he’s doing fine out in the freezing snow. :) It’s not that bad though. There had been lots of gifts (friends, family, anyone? :) ), lots of laughs, lots of smiles (from my family, myself, and someone special. ayee!), and lots and lots of food (from everywhere). *yey*

December 4 was my birthday and I was 21. Now, I’m 22 and I’m getting old, reeeaaally fast.. hehe. But of course, I could still never forget the blessings I’ve had in my life. This might be another “alone” birthday, being away from home. But good thing still have friends around. :)

Congratulations Pacman!
Once again the pride of the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao, showed an intense spirit in his fight with Miguel Cotto yesterday morning (RP time). Being one of the great fighters in the field of boxing, Manny showed and proved that he could be better. After successfully winning six world titles in different weight divisions, he added the seventh title to his belt collection after leaving a beaten bloody Cotto on the 12th round technical knockout. As the referee waves his hand to stop the fight, cheers of Filipino spirit was celebrated all over the Philippines and even in the whole world.

DeMolay in Reality
A new subdomain has been added with my very own domain; demolay.jreflores.net. The idea just crossed my mind of how I am still to contribute to the organization which I have been part of for seven years amidst my crossing the period of majority in DeMolay. Introducing DeMolay in Reality. This new blog site I have opened aims to be a simple venue for those within the circle of the DeMolay and the Masonic family to share views, experiences and even post events and announcements and news. I have opened this site mainly for the main objective of sharing to others the experience of being part of this organization.This site does not have any intentions of taking the lime light and be the official website of DeMolay. But it is in my interest to keep my brothers informed and to those strangers who wish to become friends and brothers in our work.
For future articles and blog posts about DeMolay, it will be cross posted to my DeMolay blog site. For contributors and other dedicated members of the Order of DeMolay, you may contact me for any content request and publishing of your contributions.

Update complete!
After quite some time, I have not update my blog. And now, I have finally had the time to post new entries and make some updates in my blog site. “Presenting, Reality Bytes!” *laughs and applauses* haha. I do not really like that much colors in my site, so i decided to have it in the shades of basic dark and light shades, (thanks to this theme). I’ve also added some experimental plug-ins and widgets. Hopefully in the future, I will be publishing new writing projects. Enjoy reading through Reality Bytes.
Disclaimer: There might still be some glitches (browser-wise). I’m still looking forward in doing CSS fixes. Sorry for the inconvenience.. :|
